Bakersfield Pet Crematory was established out of a deeply personal and tragic experience. In April 2021, K9 Jango, a courageous member of the Bakersfield Police Department, was killed in the line of duty while heroically protecting his handler during a foot pursuit. As we worked to honor Jango’s legacy with a fitting memorial, we were shocked to discover that all pet cremation services were outsourced beyond Kern County. This realization ignited our mission to bring compassionate, local care to pet families right here in Bakersfield.
